Basketball Game Preview: Key West Conchs vs. Westminster Christian Warriors

Key West hasn't had much luck against Westminster Christian recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Key West Conchs will be playing at home against the Westminster Christian Warriors at 6:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Key West ended up a good deal behind South Dade and lost 56-39. The Conchs were down 47-27 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday Westminster Christian sidestepped Miami Country Day for a 71-68 win.

Westminster Christian is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points per game. As for Key West, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Key West might still be hurting after the 72-46 loss they got from Westminster Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Westminster Christian's Cooper Whitby, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds.
