Baseball Game Preview: Taylor Ducks vs. Salado Eagles

For the second straight game, Taylor will face off against Salado. The Ducks will take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Taylor fell victim to Salado and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Ducks have suffered since March 4th.

For Salado's part, the team relied heavily on Owen Curtis, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Salado hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Taylor struck out nine times.

Salado is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Taylor, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-17-1.
