Softball Recap: West Cabarrus Comes Up Short

West Cabarrus fell victim to Mooresville and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 9-0. The loss continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost eight in a row.

West Cabarrus saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamryn Weaks, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

West Cabarrus' defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Mooresville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West Cabarrus is set to square off against their familiar foe A.L. Brown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mooresville will face off against rival South Iredell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
