Football Recap: Banning Lewis Academy Comes Up Short

Banning Lewis Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Alamosa Mean Moose, falling 33-13. The Stallions lost against the Mean Moose in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 51-0 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Banning Lewis Academy lost, don't look at Sam Early. Despite the final result, he rushed for 74 yards, and also threw for 103 yards and one TD.

Banning Lewis Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Alamosa, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Banning Lewis Academy will venture away from home to square off against Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Alamosa, they will host Pueblo Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
