Softball Recap: Blake Takes a Loss

Blake couldn't beat Leto on Thursday even though they stacked ten runs on them in the fourth inning. The Yellow Jackets came up short against the Falcons, falling 23-13. The Yellow Jackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

A Barcelo and J Feliciano did some serious damage despite the final result: Barcelo got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Feliciano got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of J Williams, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with three RBI.

Blake's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Leto, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11.

Blake didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-1 loss against Lennard on the 19th. As for Leto, they have also already played their next game, a 23-8 victory against Middleton on the 21st.
