Baseball Recap: Ferris Comes Up Short

Ferris suffered their closest defeat since March 29, 2025 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Ridgeline Falcons by a score of 19-17. The Saxons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Holt A Dissmore made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with six RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Alec Finn, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs.

Ferris' loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Ridgeline, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Ferris will head out to challenge Shadle Park at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Saxons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Highlanders have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Ridgeline, they will host Gonzaga Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bullpups' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
