Basketball Game Preview: Beecher Bobcats vs. Clifton Central Comets

The Beecher Bobcats just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Clifton Central Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Monday, Beecher beat Reed-Custer 60-51. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.

Meanwhile, Clifton Central took their match on Saturday with ease, bagging a 66-28 win over Gardner-South Wilmington. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-7.

Clifton Central is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Beecher, their victory bumped their record up to 15-11.

Beecher came up short against Clifton Central in their previous meeting back in January, falling 66-55. Can Beecher avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
