Volleyball Recap: Lily Doughty and Helena Laukaitis Secure Win for Severn Run + How To Watch

Severn Run waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on Crofton with a sharp 3-0 win. For the Wolves, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory Crofton walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Severn Run took every set by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-9, 25-7.

Leading Severn Run to victory were Helena Laukaitis and Lily Doughty. Laukaitis had four aces and four assists, while Doughty had four assists and two aces. That's the most aces Laukaitis has posted since back in September. Amala Roberts also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Severn Run was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Severn Run's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Crofton, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Severn Run will host Northeast at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crofton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chesapeake Science Point at 6:00 p.m. on the 16th.
