Sneads came out on top against Wewahitchka on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Pirates took their game against the Gators 6-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-2 on Tuesday.

Sneads let Griffin Pickron and Hoke Harkrider run wild. Pickron went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run, while Harkrider went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those stolen bases marked the first that Pickron has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Creed Whitworth, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Sneads kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wewahitchka only managed four.

The victory made it two in a row for Sneads and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Wewahitchka, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Sneads will be playing at home against Port St. Joe at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tiger Sharks have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Wewahitchka, they are taking a road trip to face off against Wakulla Christian School at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
