Football Game Preview: Decatur Eagles vs. Diamond Hill-Jarvis Eagles

Decatur will head out to take on Diamond Hill-Jarvis at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Decatur has three straight victories, Diamond Hill-Jarvis has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Decatur took their game with ease, bagging a 57-24 win over Eastern Hills. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 50-8.

He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jamari Fletcher, who gained 91 total yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Diamond Hill-Jarvis was beaten by Western Hills 76-6 on Friday. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Decatur now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Diamond Hill-Jarvis, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Decatur against Diamond Hill-Jarvis when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 76-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Decatur since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
