Basketball Recap: Northern Virginia Homeschool Extends Winning Streak to Six

Northern Virginia HomeSchool came tearing into Tuesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Christ Chapel Academy by a score of 60-49. That's more bragging rights for the Centurions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Several Christ Chapel Academy players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was David Neaves, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Richaun Martin, who earned 13 points.

Northern Virginia HomeSchool pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Christ Chapel Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.

Northern Virginia HomeSchool will venture away from home to face off against Fairfax HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northern Virginia HomeSchool knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Fairfax HomeSchool likes a good challenge. As for Christ Chapel Academy, they will host Fredericksburg V at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Christ Chapel Academy is facing Fredericksburg V at the right time seeing as Fredericksburg V is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
