Softball Recap: Mercy Beats Flat Rock for Their 18th Straight Victory

Mercy came tearing into Saturday's game with 17 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Flat Rock Rams. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Marlins have posted since May 3rd.

Mercy's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Flat Rock, their loss dropped their record down to 13-15.
