Soccer Recap: Shawnee Comes Up Short

The Shawnee Golden Eagles came up short against the Iroquois Raiders on Wednesday, falling 6-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Shawnee were already down 3-0.

This is the second loss in a row for Shawnee and nudges their season record down to 1-3-2. As for Iroquois, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Coming up, Shawnee will challenge Western at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Shawnee will be up against Western's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.5 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Iroquois, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Butler at 7:15 p.m.
