Basketball Game Preview: Shiocton Chiefs vs. Gresham Community Wildcats

The Shiocton Chiefs will challenge the Gresham Community Wildcats at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Shiocton strolled past Chilton with points to spare, taking the game 50-35.

Meanwhile, Gresham Community didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Rosholt on Monday, but they still walked away with a 29-24 win. The Wildcats' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Gresham Community had a senior duo take command as Allie Cerveny posted 13 points and Emily Jensen dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds. Cerveny has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

Gresham Community is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season. As for Shiocton, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

Shiocton didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Gresham Community when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 41-36 win.
