Basketball Recap: Hermann's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hermann had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They strolled past the North Callaway Thunderbirds with points to spare, taking the game 60-44. The Bearcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Thunderbirds, too.

Despite the loss, North Callaway still got an impressive performance from Lakyn Hartley, who went 5 for 7 on her way to 14 points and three steals. Hartley has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Olsson, who posted six points.

Hermann's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for North Callaway, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6.
