Basketball Recap: Singer Comes Up Short

After flying high against South Cameron on Thursday, Singer came back down to earth. The Singer Hornets had to suffer through a 71-43 loss at the hands of the Fairview Panthers. The Hornets have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Singer's defeat dropped their record down to 22-14-1. As for Fairview, their win bumped their record up to 30-15-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Singer will take on South Cameron at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Singer is facing South Cameron at the right time seeing as South Cameron is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Fairview will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mamou at 6:00 p.m. on February 17th.
