Volleyball Recap: Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets vs. Miller City Wildcats

If Cory-Rawson was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Temple Christian last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets came up short against the Miller City Wildcats on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Fighting Hornets haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Miller City found their leader in underclassman Payton Michel, who had 12 digs and 37 assists. Cory-Rawson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Miller City, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Cory-Rawson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Miller City, they will venture away from home to square off against Ottoville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ottoville is coming into the game with nine straight victories at home, so Miller City will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
