Softball Recap: Crestview Bulldogs vs. Northview Chiefs
Crestview was the 5-1 winner over Northview when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Crestview Bulldogs took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northview Chiefs on Tuesday. Crestview has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mayson Feller led a balanced group of hitters, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. Tianna Hill was another key contributor, going 1-for-4 with two runs, a triple, and an RBI.
On Northview's side, Daviona Randolph was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Stuckey, who went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Crestview's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Northview, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
Crestview will head out on the road to face off against Niceville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crestview is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Northview, they will be playing at home against Escambia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
