Recap: Peekskill Red Devils vs. Tournament Opponent
The Peekskill Red Devils lost against Tournament Opponent back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Peekskill had to suffer through a rough 55-28 loss at the hands of Tournament Opponent. Peekskill was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-12.
Despite the defeat, Peekskill saw an underclassman step up: Amari Murphy scored 17 points. Murphy scored a full 60.7% of Peekskill's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Peekskill's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Tournament Opponent, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 26-52.
Peekskill will be playing in front of their home fans against Edgemont at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tournament Opponent will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Gloria Deo Academy at 3:00 p.m. on December 9th.
