Metamora waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-43 win over the Morton Potters. This was a revenge game for the Redbirds: when they faced off against the Potters back in January, they had to take a 59-42 loss.

Metamora pushed their record up to 27-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Morton, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-7.

Looking ahead, Metamora will square off against Kankakee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Morton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
