Basketball Recap: Arrowhead Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to Two

Arrowhead Christian Academy won the last time they faced Gila Bend, and Leah Rubio did her part to make sure it happened again. The Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 58-8 win over the Gila Bend Gila Monsters thanks in part to Rubio, who went 12 of 19 on her way to 24 points and five steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Megan Bright, who posted six points along with ten boards and four steals. Bright is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Arrowhead Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Gila Bend, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Arrowhead Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-28 loss against Ville de Marie Academy on the 6th. As for Gila Bend, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 28-24 defeat against Glenview College Prep on the 10th.
