Basketball Recap: Robertsdale Comes Up Short

Robertsdale lost against Fairhope two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Robertsdale Golden Bears were outmatched by the Fairhope Pirates and fell 70-39. While losing is never fun, the Golden Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 321st, while the Pirates are ranked 28th).

When it comes to explaining why Robertsdale lost, don't look at Anthony Carmichael. Despite the final result, he posted eight points and six rebounds.

Robertsdale has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-22 record this season. As for Fairhope, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Robertsdale has already played their next matchup (against Foley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Fairhope has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Daphne.
