Basketball Game Preview: Providence Panthers vs. Piedmont Panthers + How To Watch

Providence will face off against Piedmont at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Providence has given up an average of 60.8 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Providence is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since January 28th on Tuesday. They had to suffer through an 81-45 loss at the hands of Independence. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Piedmont entered their tilt with Union Academy on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 60-35 win. That looming 60-35 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

Piedmont now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Providence, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Providence came out on top in a nail-biter against Piedmont when the teams last played back in November of 2019, sneaking past 45-42. Does Providence have another victory up their sleeve, or will Piedmont turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
