Basketball Game Preview: Sickles Gryphons vs. Steinbrenner Warriors

Two dominant guards in Kelsey Sharpe and Naomi Parker are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Sickles Gryphons will face off against the Steinbrenner Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sickles will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Sickles is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They managed a 52-46 victory over Charlotte.

It was another big night for Sharpe, who went 7-for-16 en route to 23 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 41 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Jadyn Watts, who posted 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Steinbrenner didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Gateway on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 51-45 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Sickles' victory bumped their record up to 21-8. As for Steinbrenner, their win bumped their record up to 25-3.

Sickles was able to grind out a solid victory over Steinbrenner in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 60-51. Does Sickles have another victory up their sleeve, or will Steinbrenner turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
