Basketball Recap: Lincoln East Takes a Loss

Lincoln East played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Westview Wolverines 77-44. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-14.

Westview's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Macy Kellner, who posted nine points in addition to five assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Stella Williams, who went 5 for 9 en route to 16 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Lincoln East and nudges their season record down to 5-13. As for Westview, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

Lincoln East has already played their next match (against Fremont), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Westview will challenge Elkhorn North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westview is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.7 points per game this season.
