Celina are taking a road trip to challenge Elida at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Elida took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Celina, who comes in off a win.
Celina is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Kenton on Thursday as they made off with a 19-2 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Wes Greber made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since April 1st. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Celina got a massive performance out of Nick Steinbrunner, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Steinbrunner has become a key player for the Bulldogs: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 3-6 otherwise. Brodee Schulte-Arnold was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Celina always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Elida fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Coldwater on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cavaliers by a score of 5-3. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Cavaliers: they've now lost seven in a row.
Celina's record now sits at 5-7. As for Elida, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
Celina beat Elida 4-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Celina since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
