Ramona took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Brawley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Wildcats on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won eight matchups in a row.

The team relied heavily on Derek Taylor, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Colton Simpson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Ramona was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Ramona's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Brawley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-13.

As of now, neither Ramona nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
