Softball Recap: Edon Gets the Win

After only one run in their last game, Edon made sure to put some runs up on the board against Continental on Saturday. The Bombers blew past the Pirates 13-5. The Bombers not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 22, 2024.

Makayla Anspaugh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Nevaeh Smith was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. She also brought in three RBI, marking her first of the season. Stormlin Osborn was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

Edon's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Continental, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Edon has already played their next matchup, a 13-8 defeat against Pettisville on the 14th. As for Continental, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-2 win against Ottoville on the 14th.
