Volleyball Game Preview: Hopewell Titans vs. Lincoln Charter Eagles

The Hopewell Titans will head out to take on the Lincoln Charter Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hopewell is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since April 12, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against East Mecklenburg, falling 3-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Titans were not able to get on the board.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-11, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Charter entered their contest against Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots.

While Lincoln Charter ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21, 18-25, 25-22.

Hopewell now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lincoln Charter, the defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 5-3.

Hopewell beat Lincoln Charter 3-1 in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
