Preview: Lake Country Lutheran Lightning vs. Edgewood Crusaders
The Lake Country Lutheran Lightning will be playing at home against the Edgewood Crusaders at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Country Lutheran has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 789 points over their last ten contests.
Even though New Berlin Eisenhower scored an imposing 67 points on Saturday, Lake Country Lutheran still came out on top. Lake Country Lutheran took their contest against New Berlin Eisenhower 78-67.
Lake Country Lutheran's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carter Leibham led the charge by scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Leibham pulled down eight or more rebounds. Sam Hans was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Edgewood's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 76-57 fall against Sauk Prairie. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Lake Country Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Edgewood, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-10.
