Recap: Newman International Academy Warriors vs. DasCHE Spartans
The Newman International Academy Warriors suffered their biggest loss since December 12, 2023 on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 84-41 loss at the hands of DasCHE. Newman International Academy has struggled against DasCHE recently, as their contest on Monday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
DasCHE's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jadon Comeaux led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Davon Smith, who scored 15 points.
Newman International Academy now has a losing record at 8-9. As for DasCHE, they pushed their record up to 23-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newman International Academy will take on ILTexas Arlington at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully ILTexas Arlington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Friday. DasCHE will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Central Texas Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Central Texas Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 560th, while DasCHE is ranked 100th).
