Softball Game Preview: Calabasas Coyotes vs. Westlake Warriors

Calabasas hasn't had much luck against Westlake recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Calabasas will be playing in front of their home fans against Westlake at 3:30 p.m. Calabasas has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Calabasas is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Thursday. They lost 15-1 to Louisville.

Calabasas saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Manno, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Westlake entered their tilt with Rio Mesa on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 7-4.

Westlake also got a great performance from Presley Watters as she pitched five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Those hits were Watters' first of the season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kira Palmer, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Baylee Brown, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Westlake's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Calabasas, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
