Dashawn Woods Delivers Best Effort of Season

Hammond Morton was led to victory by Dashawn Woods, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Woods' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 111 rushing yards. His longest reception was for an incredible 85 yards.

The victory was the third in a row for Hammond Morton, bringing their record for this year to 3-4. Woods and Hammond Morton will challenge East Chicago Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Davion Terry Has Career Rushing Day

Hammond Central was led to victory by Davion Terry, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Terry rushed for 205 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Hammond Central moved to 3-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. Terry and Hammond Central will play host again on Friday to welcome Hanover Central, where kickoff is scheduled at 7:00 p.m.

Harris Posts Huge Game in 61-58 Victory

The second Hammond Morton player making an appearance here is Holland Harris, and for good reason. He threw for 350 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 35 yards.

If the past is any indication, Harris could be in store for another big game when he takes on East Chicago Central on Thursday. Harris threw for 316 yards and three touchdowns while completing 94.1% of his passes the last time he and the Cardinals duked it out back in October of 2023.
