Baseball Game Preview: St. Martin Yellow Jackets vs. Biloxi Indians

For the second straight game, St. Martin will face off against Biloxi. The Yellow Jackets will head out to face off against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

St. Martin took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Biloxi 4-3. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Yellow Jackets as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

For Biloxi's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leyton Gunter, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Adam Rugg was another, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one RBI.

Biloxi has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for St. Martin, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.
