Football Recap: Moreau Catholic Skates Past Leland with Ease

It's playoff time, and Moreau Catholic had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Leland Chargers, posting a 42-11 win. With the Mariners ahead 35-3 at the half, the match was all but over already.

It was another big night for Jeremiah Charles, who threw for 278 yards and four touchdowns on perfect 10-for-10 passing. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in passing yards. Jameson Ransburg did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 138 receiving yards.

Moreau Catholic didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jalen Arnold.

Moreau Catholic's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.5 points per game. As for Leland, they moved to 10-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Moreau Catholic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 42-8 win against Lindsay on the 13th. Leland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
