Soccer Recap: Jefferson County Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wakulla, Jefferson County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Marianna Bulldogs 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-1 back in November of 2024.

Gigi Mediate and Liria Vargas scored both of Jefferson County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

Jefferson County now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Marianna, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9-1.

Jefferson County wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Taylor County on the 14th. Marianna has also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Franklin County on the 15th.
