Basketball Recap: Boys Latin Comes Up Short

Boys Latin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-60 heartbreaker at the hands of the Calvert Hall Cardinals. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lakers came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Cardinals are ranked 100th).

Boys Latin's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Calvert Hall, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-6.

Boys Latin has already played their next game, a 70-65 defeat against St. Frances Academy on the 21st. As for Calvert Hall, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-52 loss against Eleanor Roosevelt on the 18th.
