League recap: Shenendehowa moves into New York top 25

With a big week,
Shenendehowa jumped into the top 25 in the state rankings. Shenendehowa moved up from No. 30 in the state all the way to No. 13 thanks to a 2-0 record over the past week. Led by manager James E. Carrese, the Plainsmen are ranked No. 827 in the nation with an overall record of 14-7.
The Plainsmen (14-7, 7-1) are riding a league-best 7-game winning streak. The streak was extended by another two games over the past week, including a 13-0 victory over Troy.
Niskayuna's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only six hits and five walks, both of which led the league. The Silver Warriors have given up a mere 148 hits on the year, while striking out 121 opposing hitters.
Austin Clock is the leader in that category with 34 Ks on the season.
