Northridge came tearing into Thursday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Eaton Eagles with a sharp 67-43 win. Given the Polar Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Eagles are ranked 645th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayah Martin out in front who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 18 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Martin a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of A'Rayiah Mclemore, who went 7-for-16 en route to 19 points and seven rebounds.

Northridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

Northridge's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Eaton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.

Coming up, Northridge will venture away from home to challenge Bethel at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eaton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
