After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last seven games, Floyd Central finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They came up short against the Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats, falling 34-13. The matchup marked the Highlanders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Floyd Central fell to 7-1. As for Evansville Mater Dei, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.

Floyd Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Evansville Mater Dei, they have already played their next game, a 47-27 loss against Terre Haute South Vigo on the 11th.
