Basketball Game Preview: Labette County Grizzlies vs. Burlington Wildcats

Labette County has gone 3-0 against Burlington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Labette County Grizzlies will head out on the road to challenge the Burlington Wildcats at 6:40 p.m. Labette County is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Last Tuesday, Labette County was fully in charge, breezing past Paola 55-23. The Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Landry Obrien continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 21 points and three steals. Obrien is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Amelia Carnahan was another key player, posting eight points and five steals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Burlington, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Independence by a score of 45-32 on Tuesday. While the Wildcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Labette County's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Burlington, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
