Volleyball Recap: Blaine Comes Up Short

The Blaine Bengals didn't have quite enough to beat the Anoka Tornadoes on Saturday and fell 2-1. While the Bengals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tornadoes 25-19 in the first set.

Blaine started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-23, 15-10.

Blaine's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Anoka, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Anoka has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Elk River on the 5th. Hopefully Blaine payed attention to the Tornadoes' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Tornadoes at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st.
