Marbury waltzed into their game on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Benjamin Russell Wildcats with a sharp 10-1 win. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 4-1 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2022.

Marbury pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Benjamin Russell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Coming up, Marbury will head out on the road to challenge Lee-Scott Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Marbury's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Lee-Scott Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Benjamin Russell, they will take on Central of Clay County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Central of Clay County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Benjamin Russell surely won't give up without a fight.
