Softball Recap: Rustburg Has No Trouble Against Liberty

Rustburg got themselves on the board against Liberty on Wednesday, but Liberty never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Minutemen with a sharp 6-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Minutemen: they've now won four in a row.

Baylee Cash was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Nahla Bigham, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Rustburg's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Liberty, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.

Rustburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Liberty, they will challenge Jefferson Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cavaliers will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Minutemen surely won't give up without a fight.
