Basketball Recap: Brandon Comes Up Short

Brandon lost against Owosso back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Brandon Blackhawks were dealt a 63-16 defeat at the hands of the Owosso Trojans.

When it comes to explaining why Brandon lost, don't look at Kelsey Williamson. Despite the final result, she posted four points and six boards. The dominant performance gave Williamson a new career-high in rebounds.

Brandon dropped their record down to 1-12 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Owosso, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brandon won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Goodrich at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Goodrich will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Brandon surely won't give up without a fight. As for Owosso, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Lake Fenton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
