Football Recap: Katella Comes Up Short

Katella extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 4-5. They lost 28-6 to the Beckman Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 397th, while the Patriots are ranked 68th).

As for Beckman, they pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Considering they have won six matches by more than 19 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Marina Babayani, who threw for 304 yards and three TDs while completing 83.9% of her passes, and also rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown. Those 304 passing yards gave her a new career-high.

Katella has already played their next contest (against Buena Park), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Beckman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 26-19 victory against Centennial on the 9th.
