Basketball Recap: Warrensburg Comes Up Short

Warrensburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 68-46 to the Jefferson City Jays. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 487th, while the Jays are ranked 17th).

Warrensburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Jefferson City, their win bumped their record up to 12-2.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Warrensburg Tigers duke it out with the Harrisonville Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harrisonville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Jefferson City, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-61 victory against Rolla on the 31st.
