Soccer Recap: Evergreen Takes a Loss

Evergreen came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Renton Red Hawks, falling 5-2. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Evergreen came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Renton are ranked 225th).

Evergreen's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 9-4. As for Renton, their win bumped their record up to 3-7-1.

Looking ahead, Evergreen will host Mariner at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Evergreen are facing Mariner at the right time seeing as Mariner are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Renton, they will venture away from home to square off against Sultan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
