 It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Palm Beach Gardens can now relate to. They fell just short of the Wellington Wolverines by a score of  7-6 on Thursday. Palm Beach Gardens' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
  Brynn Dion-Catasus was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring a  run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Madison Quinn, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 On Wellington's side,  Victoria Payne spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and three unearned) runs on eight hits. Payne has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side, Wellington let  Erynn Lowe and  Brianna Casey loose on the outfield. Lowe  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3, while  Casey  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.  D'Yami Meredith was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Palm Beach Gardens' loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 21-4. As for Wellington, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won ten of their last 11 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record  this season.
 As of now, neither Palm Beach Gardens nor Wellington have any future games scheduled.
