Baseball Recap: Rock Falls Comes Up Short

Rock Falls fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against North Boone on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 6-5. Rock Falls saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was AJ Moore, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Moore is on a roll when it comes to hits, as he's now got three or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Rock Falls has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15-1 record this season. As for North Boone, they pushed their record up to 23-4 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home.

Looking ahead, North Boone will host Oregon at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
